My Lord came from heaven above
To give - of His love and His life
To teach - us how to win sinners
To bear - all our burdens and strife.
To show - how a Christian should live
To spread - God's good news through the land
To share - all the glories of heaven
To heal - with a touch of His hand.
It's my desire to follow my Lord
Though sometimes I'm weary
And sometimes it's hard.
I'll give of my best for as long as I live
I'll be willing to go and to tell
And to win and to give.
For my Lord shed His blood on the cross
That His love we would know.
I want my life, as a Christian, to show
That I love Him so.
I will pray as I witness for Him
And I'll tell of God's undying grace
I will serve with my last ounce of being
The one who died in my place.
