Christian Poetry

Sermon-Inspired Poems:

A PRAYER

Lord, help me to not criticize
Teach me to be humble and wise
And may I always patient be
To let You choose what's best for me.

HE STAYS BY ME

Contrary winds may often blow
But with my Lord, I onward go
On through this life of toil and snares
He stays by me; I know He cares.

GLADNESS AND JOY

Gladness and joy fills all my heart
Where unfilled needs were in the past.
God saved my soul and now I know
The sweetness of His love, at last.

WORDS

With selfish words, Dear Lord, I pray:
To use them less in what I say.
May words like I, my, me and mine
Instead, be Thy, Thou, Thee and Thine.
