ROSE'S MODE

One day, Rose caused an episode
While singing in a boat, she rowed.

Somewhere, a frightened rooster crowed
Because of noise near his abode.

Rose docked the boat and slowly strode
And as she waddled pigeon-toed,

She gobbled, while her wrappers flowed,
While seeking sales just down the road.

She hoped to find a travel mode
To carry her and her pet toad.

Then, Rose found Nag; she barely rode.
She tried to nudge Nag with a goad.

No nudge would budge, oh, what a node!
Poor heaving Nag was more than slowed.

It looked like Nag was "a-la-mode"
Because her tail was all that showed.

I thought that Nag may soon explode -
For Rose was quite an overload!
